Project Updates

Kevin Nguyen

We're thrilled to share an exciting update regarding Kevin Nguyen's family bathroom renovation project.

Thanks to the incredible support and generosity within our community, significant strides have been made toward transforming the Nguyen family's bathroom into a more accessible and comfortable space.

The initial $10,000 down payment has been disbursed, marking the kickoff of this vital $29,000 project. With your support, the groundwork has been laid, and the renovation work is officially underway. This critical step sets the stage for creating a better, safer, and more functional bathroom for the Nguyen family.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who has contributed to making this project a reality. Your kindness and generosity are creating a lasting impact on the Nguyen family's home and lives.

Nisorgo Chakrabaty

In our ongoing effort to transform homes and create spaces that truly make a difference, we're excited to present the final bid for Nisorgo Chakrabaty's bathroom renovation project in Lansdale. After careful planning and consideration, the proposal stands at a total of $29,250.00 for a comprehensive overhaul that promises to redefine the space.

However, the family has decided that the best course of action is to have some type of stair lift or elevator installed in their house.

This bid of the bathroom and elevator encapsulates the meticulous planning and execution required to create a revamped, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space that aligns with the family's vision.

Stay tuned for more updates as we embark on this exciting renovation journey, transforming their home into a sanctuary.

Ethan Schoenly

In Boyertown, a young man named Ethan faces a challenging journey towards recovery. Struck by a car in a Giant parking lot, this brave 10-year-old is currently confined to a wheelchair and a hospital bed. The road to recovery is daunting, but our community is rallying together to bring him home.

Ethan's immediate need is a wheelchair ramp for his home. Given the severity of his injuries, it's crucial to install a ramp to facilitate his return home from the hospital. Estimates are up to $20,000 for the project.

The Jared Pishock Foundation has committed substantial financial support for Ethan's wheelchair ramp as well. Two quotes were provided—one for installation and another for rental. The foundation's pledge ensures that financial barriers will not impede Ethan's path to a more accessible home. Since Ethan's family is located in  Boyertown, he would be eligible for United Way support.

Ethan's journey is a testament to the power of community and compassion. As we embark on this mission to bring him home, let us stand united, supporting each other and fostering a sense of hope for Ethan and his family. Together, we can make a lasting impact and provide the support needed for Ethan's journey towards recovery.

What is the process to apply?

When families request a project, Happy 2 be Home asks that the family get three proposals from bonded and insured contractors, and then the Board votes on which proposal to approve. When completed, the grant is given directly to the family.

If you are a contractor, or know of a contractor who wants to submit bids on projects for our families, please contact us.

13th Annual Classic Car & Bike Show

At our 13th Annual Classic Car & Bike Show, held on a picturesque day, a stunning array of 286 classic vehicles graced the event. The event, hosted at New Ridge Fellowship, kicked off early with cars lining up as early as 6:30 AM.

Thanks to the incredible support from vehicle entries, food sales, donations, and raffle ticket purchases, we're thrilled to announce that nearly $12,000 was raised!

A massive thank you goes out to everyone involved—the board members, H2BH families, New Ridge Fellowship staff, Car Show Committee, participants, spectators, and our exceptional volunteers.

From managing food tents to directing traffic, their dedication ensured the show's success. While the event showcased an impressive array of vehicles, it was truly the remarkable individuals attending, sharing their car stories, and generously offering their time and donations, who made the day exceptional.

Your presence, stories, and contributions have made a meaningful impact on our cause. If you were there, thank you for being part of this incredible event!

Hoppy 2 be Home

A very limited third edition of Hoppy 2 be Home, a craft beer made by Stable 12 Brewing Company in Phoenixville was created in our honor this past holiday season. A portion of the sales of this IPA benefited H2BH.

We had an awesome tasting party on Thanksgiving Eve! Stable 12 also donated swag and beer, valued at $250, so we had two basket raffles to give away! Congrats to Keith M and Brian F who won this year.

Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets, there were close to 50 of you! Between the raffles, beer sales and donations from many generous patrons, the final tally will be close to $1400 raised for our families.

Thank you Stable 12 and everyone who came out to the party and purchased a beer! There may be just a few 4-packs of Hoppy 2 be Home for sale at the brewery right now, so feel free to stop by and support their business, and pick up a 4-pack of Hoppy 2 be Home.

Craft Show

Thank you to the Women’s ministry at New Ridge Fellowship for giving us the opportunity once again to run the concessions at their annual Holiday Craft Show on November 4th. We served up all kinds of food and treats to the crafters and the visitors of the show. Were able to raise just over $1,000! Thanks to everyone who participated and came out to one of the best holiday craft shows in the area.

Pictures with Santa

A warm and festive thank you to everyone who joined us on November 11th for our first-ever Pictures with Santa Claus event! We raised close to $500 at this event!

The captured moments with Santa turned out beautifully, and we hope you enjoy your Christmas cards, especially those who brought extra magic with their delightful costumes.

A special highlight of the day was seeing Santa strike a pose with your adorable pets! The joy and excitement in the room as our four-legged friends met the man in red were beyond heartwarming. Your furry companions brought an extra dose of cheer to our event, making it truly unforgettable.

We're excited to share that Santa may make a special appearance again next year for more pictures. Thank you for supporting Happy 2 Be Home during this Christmas season.
