Families and Projects

Looking to apply for assistance? Happy 2 be Home provides grants to help families make their homes accessible for chronically ill children. Below is our eligibility criteria and step-by-step process:

How the Process Works: Once a child is voted into the H2bH family by our Board, we ask the family to gather at least three proposals from bonded and insured contractors. The Board then reviews and approves a proposal based on the child’s specific needs. Once work is completed, the grant is awarded directly to the family.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The family must own their home.
  • The child must be school-aged (or younger, up to their 21st birthday at the end of the school year) and live with a chronic illness.
  • The home must be located within a 25-mile radius of Gilbertsville, PA.
