We are thrilled to share the completion of our latest family project! In May 2013, the Mohn family—Tim, Jen, and their daughter Hannah—joined the Happy 2 be Home family. Hannah, who was born on September 18, 2009, lives with Arthrogryposis and an undiagnosed neuromuscular disease. Because she is wheelchair-bound, navigating their traditional 1978 two-story colonial home in Lansdale presented significant daily safety and accessibility challenges for the family.

To give Hannah the independence and safety she deserves, we set out to convert the home’s existing garage into a fully accessible, custom first-floor bedroom.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, H2bH provided $14,000 in funding to bring this transformation to life. Over the last 13 months, volunteers and contractors worked tirelessly to complete the renovation, right on schedule for June 2014.

Hannah’s parents, Timothy and Jennifer, shared what this milestone means for their family:
“Happy 2 be Home provided the funding for our garage to be converted to a first floor bedroom for our daughter, Hannah who is wheelchair bound. Without this generous funding we would never have been able to do this for her. It was vital that she be on one floor for her own safety and well being. We could never express how very thankful and blessed we are that we connected with the Happy 2 be Home family.”
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, volunteered, and cheered us on during this journey. Welcome home to your new room, Hannah!
