At Happy 2 be Home, we believe that every child deserves a home environment that is safe, accessible, and supportive. As we reflect on a decade of service to the Gilbertsville area, we are reminded that our mission is only possible through the generosity of our community. This holiday season, we have been blessed with a historic gift that will help us reach even more families in need.
We are thrilled to announce that Happy 2 be Home has been awarded a $20,000 grant by the Resource Capital Funds Foundation. This significant contribution, the largest corporate donation in our ten-year history, was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Kelly Thater and the team at Global Advanced Metals (GAM) in Boyertown.

A Partnership Built on Impact
While the financial support is vital, we are particularly grateful for the partnership of Global Advanced Metals. This grant—submitted by Kelly Thater, a key member of the GAM team—represents more than just a donation; it represents a shared vision of community care. By aligning their corporate resources with our mission, GAM is directly enabling us to bridge the gap between families and the accessibility equipment they desperately need.
Changing Lives, One Project at a Time
For many families, the challenges of raising a child with chronic, long-term, or multiple disabilities can be overwhelming. Since our founding, we have been committed to enabling these families to create suitable home environments.
To date, we have supported over 50 families by funding and installing critical home modifications, including: wheelchair lifts and ramps for improved mobility; modified bedrooms and bathrooms to ensure safety and dignity; essential home equipment like generators for medical devices; and structural conversions in garages and basements to accommodate specialized care.
This $20,000 grant will go directly toward funding these transformative projects. It allows us to continue our work within 25 miles of Gilbertsville, ensuring that no family has to face these home-accessibility challenges alone.
With Deep Gratitude
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Global Advanced Metals USA, Inc., and the Resource Capital Funds Foundation. Your generosity is not just funding projects; you are restoring independence and quality of life for children and families when they need it most. As we look toward the future, we are more committed than ever to our mission. With partners like Global Advanced Metals by our side, we know we can achieve even greater things in the years to come.
