Perfect Weather and a Perfect Day: The 2025 H2bH 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

On August 9th, 2025, our community gathered once again for the annual H2bH 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk at New Ridge Fellowship. With sunshine overhead, cool morning breezes, and smiling faces everywhere you looked, it was a picture-perfect day for running, walking, and coming together for a cause close to our hearts.

This year, we welcomed 136 participants—including families, friends, and even a few canine companions—who helped us raise over $4,000 for our projects supporting families of children with long-term medical needs.

The Day’s Events

Check-in and walk-up registration began at 7:30 AM, with the 5K starting promptly at 8:30 AM and the 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk following at 8:35 AM. Whether they came to race, stroll, or cheer from the sidelines, everyone played a role in making the morning a success.

More Than Just a Race

While the event was full of energy and friendly competition, the heart of the day was about something bigger—helping local families create accessible homes for their children. Every step taken and every dollar raised brings us closer to our mission of providing ramps, bathroom renovations, lifts, and other critical home modifications.

It was impossible to miss the camaraderie and joy that filled the air—neighbors reconnecting, new friendships forming, and the shared satisfaction of making a difference together.
