At Happy 2 be Home, our mission is driven entirely by a small, dedicated board of just ten volunteers. Throughout the year, our board coordinates a variety of signature fundraising events to bring neighbors together and raise the vital funds needed to adapt homes for children with severe disabilities. From our high-energy annual 5K and seasonal favorites like Pictures with Santa, to our popular Designer Purse Bingo and the Thanksgiving Eve Hoppy 2 be Home gathering, these core initiatives are organized directly by our organization. We also love firing up the grills at the Annual Car and Bike Show, where our team runs the event’s food tent. Because we are a small board, every single event relies on the power of community volunteers to be successful. We are always looking for extra hands to help us bring these days to life, and we welcome anyone who wants to lend their time and talents.
While our board manages these primary signature events—and collaborates with wonderful community partners like New Ridge Fellowship for the 5K and Fall car show—we are also incredibly blessed by the overwhelming support of individuals, local businesses, and groups who choose to run independent fundraisers on our behalf. To honor their incredible hard work and creativity, we feature those wonderful host-driven events in the H2bH News section of our website. Whether you are attending one of our premier annual events, signing up to volunteer on the big day, or cheering on a community-led initiative, your participation helps us unlock a world of accessibility for the families we serve.
