Every home modification we complete represents a family given a renewed sense of independence, safety, and comfort. Since our founding, Happy 2 be Home has worked tirelessly to alleviate the physical and financial challenges faced by families caring for children with chronic disabilities.

While our record-keeping in the early years was as grassroots as our beginnings, we estimate that Happy 2 be Home has distributed approximately $1 million in direct project grants. When combined with the vital support we’ve helped raise from state, county, foundational, and non-profit partners, the total investment in our communities is well over $1 million. To date, we have officially partnered with over 61 extraordinary families—with an average project grant of about $20,000 over the last five years alone.

Our work spans everything from installing safety fences to executing massive, life-changing home overhauls. For instance, our most extensive collaboration involved a $135,000 total renovation for a family of twins, where Happy 2 be Home proudly contributed $36,000 alongside other organizations. At least four of our families have received grants exceeding $50,000, and several have returned to us for multiple funded projects as their children’s needs evolved.

2020: Elliott and Henry’s family received a ceiling lift system to make daily transfers easier and safer as the boys grow.

2019: Alaina D. in Boyertown received an accessible ramp, a backup generator, and entryway modifications.
