We are thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of our latest video project, Real Stories of Hope: How Happy 2 be Home Changes Lives.
Creating this video was a true team effort, capturing the heart of our mission: we build, we help, we care. We wanted to go beyond just telling our story, we wanted to show the real-world impact that home modifications have on the families we serve.
How the Video Shoot Came to Life
We were fortunate to partner with professional videographer and creative director Nick Savino of NGS Productions. Nick’s expertise and storytelling approach were invaluable in capturing the emotional and practical impact of our work.
The project involved a series of site visits and interviews. Board members Susan Wendel, Scott Hamrick, and JT Clark kicked off the process by sharing the organization’s vision and core mission. From there, Nick and board member Carol Savino visited the homes of three of our wonderful families—Kevin Nguyen’s family, Candace Scott’s family, and Katrina Moran’s family.
These home visits were a heartwarming experience. Seeing the renovations, such as bathroom remodels and wheelchair ramps in action helped highlight how these changes do more than just improve accessibility; they restore dignity, safety, and independence for families navigating the challenges of caring for a child with chronic illness.
